Built to handle wind and changing weather without added bulk. A Windstopper® by GORE-TEX shell blocks wind and resists moisture, while lightweight Octa Knit insulation adds warmth at the back and chest. Thoughtful details like an asymmetrical storm collar and a zip-down rear map pocket improve comfort in cold, windy conditions. Inside, a soft flannel lining features custom illustrations honoring the work of pioneering botanist Alice Eastwood

Octa Knit Fabric

Octa Knit Fabric, developed by Teijin Frontier, is a unique 100% polyester fiber (58% of which is recycled) with a hollow, octopus-like cross-section featuring eight projections. It offers exceptional softness, breathability, and warmth for base- and mid-layer applications like the Danner UL Octa Pullover. The hollow core and gaps between the projections are designed to trap air, providing lightweight insulation and warmth without the bulk of materials like fleece or down. Additionally, the tighter knit of the face fabric makes it more durable and less likely to snag and tear.

Knit in Japan, Octa Knit Fabric offers one of the best insulation values per weight ratio, and meets bluesign® CRITERIA for supply chain environmental and safety standards.

GORE Windstopper®
GORE Windstopper® fabric is a high-performance, water-resistant material designed to block wind and provide some protection against light rain and snow. Ideal for active pursuits in cool, windy and moderately wet conditions, it utilizes an ultra-thin membrane that shields you from the wind while allowing moisture vapor to escape, keeping you comfortable and protected from the elements. It is a bluesign®-approved product, which indicates it was produced using sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

How to Measure Your Foot

  1. Prepare: Place a sheet of paper on a hard floor against a wall. Wear the socks you plan to wear with the boots.
  2. Trace: Stand with your heel against the wall and your full weight on the foot. Mark the longest toe on the paper.
  3. Measure: Measure the distance from the wall to the mark in inches or centimetres.
  4. Repeat: Measure both feet and use the larger measurement to pick your size from the charts above.
  5. Fit tip: If you are between sizes, choose the larger size for a thicker sock or insole.
Sizing is a general guide. Individual styles may fit differently — check the product page for style-specific notes before ordering.
